The goal of this creative move is to streamline and enhance the licensing procedure, particularly in light of Punjab’s growing license application volume.
The online learning driving license application is now available to the public. The DLIMS website of Punjab Police can be used for this. Let’s examine the straightforward online application procedure.

Go to the website of DLIMS Punjab. It will open a page where you have to complete a quick registration. The steps are as follows:
Step 1: Sign Up for DLIMS
- Visit the DLIMS site to register.
- As indicated in the image, enter your name, CNIC, and any other pertinent information.
Step 2: Log in to your account
- You’ll be sent to the main page of your account after registering.
- In the upper right corner, click the “+ New Learner” button.
Step 3: Complete the application for a learner’s permit.
- Fill out the licensing application with your personal details.
Step 4: Include Address Details
- Proceed to the address information box located beneath your personal information and complete it.
Step 5: Select License Category
- Choose the category for which you are submitting an application.
Step 6: Submit Required Documents
- Upload essential documents for your learner driving license application, including your photo, front and back images of your CNIC, and a medical certificate if you are over 50 years old.
Step 7: Payment Process
- Upon completing your application, you’ll receive a Payment Slip ID (PSID Number). Use this ID to make the payment for your learner’s license. You can pay through ATM, online banking, or mobile banking services such as Jazzcash or EasyPaisa using the PSID number.
Step 8: Check Application Status
- After payment, navigate to the ‘Applications’ section to confirm that the payment status is marked as ‘Paid’ in green.
Step 9: Print Your Learner License
- To view and print your Learner License, click on the green print icon located under the Action option.
However, if you already possess a learner’s license, you can proceed to apply for a driving license online in Pakistan.
2. Obtaining a Learner’s License via Punjab Police App

Download and install the Punjab Police app from app store.

Click on the ‘Apply Learner License’ button.
Step 3
Tap on the ‘+’ icon located at the bottom right corner. Enter your CNIC number on the subsequent page, and a form will appear for you to complete.
Step 4: Payment Process
Once you have entered the correct information, the app will prompt you to make a payment of PKR 500 (Previous Fee (5 years): 60 rupees). After completing the payment, you can proceed to print your learner’s license.
Note: If your learner’s license is already registered in our records, clicking the ‘+’ icon will display a message indicating ‘Your license already exists in our records’.

Here are the age requirements for different vehicles:
- Motor Cycle/ Motor Car: 18 Years
- LTV (Rikshaw, Taxi, Tractor Commercial): 21 Years
- Note: Learner permits are issued on a daily basis whose validity is 6 months
